Are the dials real coins?

Genuine florin and sixpence coins are featured in your Coinwatch if they were minted. The coin is cleaned and matt plated to make them look like new but each dial will have its own signs of wear reflecting its history and age.

What years are the coins available?

The highest grade of coins are purchased through a network of dealers and then cut and drilled to allow fitting the quality Swiss movement.

What if I was born after 1963 or a year the coin was not minted?

Can I have my own coin made into a watch?

To avoid disappointment we do not process customers own coins.

Will the gold come off the watch?

Our watches are finished with Ionic Plated Gold (IPG) on a stainless steel base. This process embeds the gold atoms into the steel under vacuum and at a very high temperature. This process provides a much harder wearing finish to the gold however it may scratch and wear over time.

Are the watches good quality?

All Coinwatch models are made to the highest standards of quality with stainless steel case, Swiss movement and scratch resistant sapphire or mineral crystal.

Can the watch be engraved?

Coinwatch make the perfect gift and the case back has been designed with room to allow your own engraving to be added.

How do I get my Coinwatch repaired overseas?

Coinwatch has international service centres established in most countries. Please see the list on our Service Centres page and contact us directly if you have any difficulty.

Can I swim in my watch?

Most Coinwatch models are water resistant to 30 metres or 3ATM to provide protection against accidentally placing your watch in water, however this is not suitable for swimming. Our Summit Collection has a screw in crown and case back to provide water resistance to 100 metres and these model with metal bracelets can be worn to swim but not for deep diving or scuba.
